It makes it very easy to pick up and put down your kiddos for those moments when they just wanted to talk or see or just be close - and then wanted to go back to their play. ¡Hola familias! Just wanted to let the neighborhood know that the Children´s Spanish Class is still meeting here in HP on Saturdays at 2:30 pm. The class has a couple of spots open, so if your child is interested in Spanish, singing songs and doing literature-based activities, please email me! I am very sorry that I forgot the address. It will be at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 5801 Hampton St.; Hampton St. is one and half blocks off of Highland Ave in Highland Park. Admission is free. The Fair will be Friday, Dec. 2 from 5pm to 7pm. and Saturday Dec. 3 from 9am to 6pm. There are several tables still available. The fee to participate is $25.00. We will supply the table, chair, coffee, tea, and donuts to participants. Participants must donate one or more items for Chinese Auction. The proceeds from the auction will go to the Homeless Children's Education Fund and Animal Friends. We will have live music, Holiday decorations, hot cider for customer and much more. Dear Neighbors, I am the leader of the Highland Park Girl Scout Troop. We meet at St. Andrew's on alternating Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:30 pm . This year, we are working towards earning the Bronze Award. Part of earning the award is learning about character development, setting and achieving goals. We are very interested in finding a few good women willing to come in and talk with the girls about their careers, what it took to get there, and how you decided on that profession. It doesn't matter if you've taken the circuitous route to get where you are. Are you in the sciences? Do you love what you do? Do you have your own business?
