This document contains elements of comprehensive sign legislation and is recommended reading for municipalities and townships who want to protect their community's scenic character from unregulated sign proliferation. MARK YOUR CALENDARS !!!!!!! The long awaited Pittsburgh City Council Public Hearing about the proposed electronic billboard ordinance is scheduled for 1:30 PM, September 27 in City Council Chambers. This is your chance to tell City Council exactly how you feel about billboards in our most-livable city. To speak at a City Council Public Hearing you must contact the City Clerk at 412-255-2138. Testimony is limited to three (3) minutes. If you do not register in advance, you can address Council after the list of registered speakers has been exhausted. Speakers are taken in the order they register so call soon to testify early in what will be a long day. [Highland Park] Sewer Line Back ups

Every time we have a substantial rainfall I get sewer water in my basement. After speaking to neighbors along North Negley and Hays, I am not alone. I have spoken with PWSA and they are a joke. Submit to your homeowners insurance are the instructions you receive. Well floods aren't covered by almost every policy. Next step was to talk to Tracy in the legal department, she is a budle of sunshine, she says "sue us if you like we have immunuty." I guess it has come to that. I am collecting names of customers who are interested in filing a class action lawsuit against PWSA for negligence. We should not have to deal with the health hazard of raw sewage in our basements eveytime it rains. We deserve better and we will get it. I would be ashamed if I were on te board of the PWSA and they treated my constituents in this maner. We may also file a suit for a refund of the illegally charged water line insurance.

Hello Everyone, YAY! I want to share a wonderful recommendation with you for Mark's All Electric Grass Cutting Service. His phone # is 412 - 508 - 6361 and his Email address is mlev5(a)hotmail.com. Here's what happened -- My lawn was very overgrown as well as the hedge bushes. I was disappointed by my regular service then I had unexpected hand surgery so I couldn't do the work myself. Mark kept our free estimate appointment as agreed and provided a very fair estimate. I agreed and was very fortunate that he was available quite soon. Mark did an outstanding job -- so I must tell you all about it. His equipment is so very quiet that I was amazed. He did a superb job and worked very hard for 2 consecutive evenings. Everything was shaped up beautifully and cleaned up wonderfully too, as he promised. Mark's attitude was way above and beyond the call of duty. He took care of what needed done -- extra bits here & there -- without complaining or adding charges. His sense of humor also put me at ease and he is a pleasure to work with. I cannot say enough good things about this gentleman. I have already requested to be put on his schedule for my next lawn cutting service -- in 2 weeks. Do yourself and your lawn & bushes a favor -- give Mark a try. You will be extremely pleased -- as I am. We are all often disappointed by business people not keeping appointments, poor attitudes, and doing less than desireable work. MARK & HIS WORK ARE WONDERFUL. Greetings, I have a couch on my front porch that is free to anyone who can take it away. It is clean and in okay condition (could use some seat reinforcement or plywood under the cushions) but otherwise looks nice and would be great for students, etc. I live at 826 Mellon St, the couch is green and burgundy and covered with a blue tarp to keep off moisture. [Highland Park] Childcare Needed

Since I didn't receive many responses to my request for someone to drive our two children from Dilworth to the JCC for the after school program, I thought I'd try for our next preferred alternative: An afternoon babysitter. We need someone to watch our kids from approximately 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Our preference is to find someone who could watch them everyday, but if we could get a couple of folks to share in the duties, that could potentially work as well. We also need someone to watch our children on Thursday evenings from about 7:15 to 9:30.
