[Highland Park] Re: Park Place Pub Opening

I wanted to take this opportunity to tell everyone about the great experience we had at Park Place Pub. My husband ordered the Hungry Man Burger (I just had cheese fries b/c I wasn't too hungry) and we were very impressed to see it come w/ huge slices of avocado and mushrooms, tomatoes and lettuce, plus hand-cut fries that were delicious. The menu is more balanced toward lower- and medium-priced items, but has a few in the higher range as well. As mentioned in the previous listing, the menu is quite large and diverse. It's clean and cute inside (I love the ceiling and the exposed brick) and I'm really happy we have a place like this in Highland Park! We are so lucky to have all of these great restaurants opening and we make a point to frequent them as much as my poor graduate student salary allows. Please consider doing the same - they took the financial risk to open these places to make our neighborhood an even greater place to live and it's up to us to make sure they stick around! Also, not sure if it's in the plans, but I would love to see a few more TVs up so that PPP could be the place everyone goes to watch the games. Maybe if you feel the same way you could let them know. Hello trusty Highland Park Neighborhood! I am soliciting DISH WASHING MACHINE *repair* advice. Its a newer Kenmore... and i think a straw is caught in the drain / disposal mechanism. the known sympton: the washer basin will not drain the water. when i hot the "drain" button it sounds ok until you hear the rotter/disposal mechanism kick in.... Dear list, I am looking for a place for a couple + a newborn toddler staying for the entire December and January. Either 1 or 2 bedroom apartment should be fine. Prefer furnished. The couple are on their parenting leave, visiting from China. They are clean, easy going non smokers. Looking for a clean and safe place. Price is not a big issue. [Highland Park] Found Dog in Morningside

Dear HPers, Today my friend and I found a tan and white pug/beagle mix type dog wandering along Jancy Street in Morningside. She is very sweet, well trained and is on the smaller side. She is wearing a collar for an electric fence but has no ID on her. As we are both taking the bar tomorrow and then leaving town for varying periods of time, neither of us can keep her until the owner is located. Therefore, she will taken to the Animal Rescue Leg. tomorrow. If any of you know of any dog matching this description, please contact me (Tere) at 412 841 5159.
