I wanted to take this opportunity to tell everyone about the great experience we had at Park Place Pub. My husband ordered the Hungry Man Burger (I just had cheese fries b/c I wasn't too hungry) and we were very impressed to see it come w/ huge slices of avocado and mushrooms, tomatoes and lettuce, plus hand-cut fries that were delicious. The menu is more balanced toward lower- and medium-priced items, but has a few in the higher range as well. As mentioned in the previous listing, the menu is quite large and diverse. It's clean and cute inside (I love the ceiling and the exposed brick) and I'm really happy we have a place like this in Highland Park! We are so lucky to have all of these great restaurants opening and we make a point to frequent them as much as my poor graduate student salary allows. Please consider doing the same - they took the financial risk to open these places to make our neighborhood an even greater place to live and it's up to us to make sure they stick around! Also, not sure if it's in the plans, but I would love to see a few more TVs up so that PPP could be the place everyone goes to watch the games. Maybe if you feel the same way you could let them know.
