This morning we found a kitten near N St Clair/Mellon/Bryant St area. This kitten (gray and black pattern with white paws and no tag) is very friendly which makes me think he/she has a home but somehow got lost. [Highland Park] Police Firing Range - Special HPCC Meeting Thursday, July 14th

The HPCC has been requested to support a meeting to discuss the firing range and the attendant noise issues. There was a non-HPCC community meeting on May 25th on this issue. At the meeting, residents and police officers agreed to work together to advocate for a better situation. In addition, the SWAT team asked the residents in attendance if they could use the firing range in the evening a certain number of times per quarter. The residents felt that both of these issues were better discussed with a larger group of residents and/or the HPCC board. We will be holding this meeting on Thursday, July 14th at 7 pm at St. Andrew's. We do not normally have an HPCC meeting in July, but there's a first time for everything! All are welcome to attend. Jett Christensen (if you don't already know me) -and tell you about an opportunity to sing where you are not "just another soprano". (Insulting, isn't it?) I am a Pittsburgh-based Opera Singer, Voice Teacher, and Salon organizer. I am running a workshop from July 17th-23rd called "The Short Story Opera." In six evening sessions we will create new opera scenes from short stories submitted by the workshop participants. You will have a chance to create a NEW character, write an aria for that character, and perform your aria with other participants as your supporting actors. [Highland Park] Knee doctor

Can someone receommend a good knee orthopedist that isn't from GPOA? That place is always a zoo and they double and triple book. My husband had an appointment there today at 9 am. He had to be at work at 11:00 am. We arrived at 8:53 am. At 9:15, we were told that the doctor was at least an hour behind and there were 10 people ahead of him. We left. We'd love a more low-key operation with one or two doctors instaed of a big conglomerate. Thanks!
