[Highland Park] Looking for foldable walking sticks for hiking and a stationary bike

Dear Friends, A recent MCL tear has limited my activity. With physical therapy it is getting better, but my activity level is very limited. I can pay a nominal amount for a stationalry bike and foldable hiking sticks that I can store in my backpack while going uphill (easier with the injury because you use your muscles) and use when I go downhill for stability to avoid falling. The bike is to avoid the excess weight gain until I can get out and ride my bike again. [Highland Park] windows for mac--what a deal

If you have a relatively new Mac computer, you may be able to take advantage of this opportunity. A few days ago I bought Windows for Mac which includes Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Express. At the Apple store they told me that this software can be downloaded 3 times. I would be willing to sell the other 2 downloads for $50 each. (i. e. I could bring the software to your house and you can download it.) The software is normally $149.00.

Good Morning Highland Park! We are trying to find the gentleman that owns and walks the wonderful Bernese Mountain Dog by Heberton street on his way to the farmhouse. We just got a 8 week old Bernese Mountain dog puppy and thought it would be great if we might walk him with the older dog. We would really appreciate it If anyone could help us find and contact him. [Highland Park] A request from the Animal Rescue League

Hi neighbors! I hope some of you might have a few of these laying around. The request below was sent to all of our volunteers and I thought maybe some of the folks in HP could gather some up too. You can drop them off at the ARL or if that is not possible, please feel free to call me or write back and I will come and get them. Thanks so much! "We are in need of cardboard trays to use as litter boxes for our cats and also as beds for kittens. The trays we need are the bottoms of what most canned food is often stored on. With the high number of cats we have showering our shelter this summer, we like to use the disposable cardboards trays for our cats in the overflow room. The cats are only in the room temporarily so the trays make caring for them much easier, cleaner and safer then the reusable metal litter pans and also a smart way to recycle. If you have any to spare please leave them in our donation bin located in the hallway closest the parking lot or in the food room in the Cat Adoption Center and we will see to it that they are used for our cats." [Highland Park] dancer plexiglass floor sculpture for sale

Hi, We've had "The Dancer" since the 1980s when I bought her at a high-end estate sale. She is made of clear/translucent plexiglass or acrylic. Including her black base, she stands app. 32" high. The base is 12" x 12". The statue itself extends a bit beyond the base - at her widest point she is about 19". She can be moved to turn within the base. Don't know anything about the artist who created her except that that her/his name is M. Blanc or M. Blane, which is etched on her base. We're trying to clear some space so the lady needs to find a new home. $100 OBO

Hi Neighbors, I recently pulled some carpet up in my house to find some ancient-looking linoleum. I imagine there is asbestos involved, and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a convenient company that tests for asbestos, and then can remove it if necessary? Thanks, Aimee DeFoe
