Many libraries have friends groups. Not so East Liberty library, until now. The newly formed friends of CLP - East Liberty will hold a book sale on the first floor of the library at 130 S. Whitfield Street, East Liberty on Saturday April 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prices are reasonable: paperbacks and CDs $1; hardbacks $2; magazines 50 cents or 3 for $1. The intention is to raise funds for the library and to encourage people to become friends. It costs nothing to be friend of CLP East Liberty. I'm choreographing and performing with Quantum Theatre in a operetta "Maria de Buenos Aires" that opens March 25 and runs thru April 17. It is right in our neighborhood at the old YMCA in East Liberty next to the new library and across from the East Liberty Presbyterian church.
