I live in a quiet neighborhood near to a park and nice coffee shop in the Highland Park neighborhood. I am one block from the bus to the University of Pgh. campus that takes 15 minutes. [Highland Park] Looking for a House to Rent

Hi neighbors, I'm sending out this request for a friend who is in a bind and needs to find a 3 or 4 bedroom house or apartment to rent, preferably starting February 1. This would be for their family. They are very responsible—long time home owners and professionally employed. I'd have no problem renting to them myself, if I had an appropriate place. They need to stay in the Allderdice feeder area (generally Squirrel Hill or Point Breeze neighborhoods) so their kids can stay in their current schools. I know this is a Highland Park email list, but hey, we're all East Enders, right? [Highland Park] Contractor Needed to Install Single Unit Wall Oven

I'm now into a month of dealing with an awful home warranty company and still no operating oven. Finally we at least have the single unit wall oven ready for install. Now I need to find a contractor/electrician who can complete some woodworking and install the unit. The new oven is about 3/8 of an inch too wide on each side, so cuts need to be made into the wooden frame of the wall. The oven is electric and I would like the same person to complete the install. Your recommendations are greatly appreciated. The anticipation of a warm meal is wearing me down. Thanks, Shawn

Choral Evensong with Musical Recital is offered at St. Andrew's, Hampton Street and North Euclid Avenue, Highland Park, on the First Thursday of each month, October - May. St. Andrew's Parish Choir will sing Evensong at 8 p.m. this Thursday, January 6. The Recital following will be by the Choir of the Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, under the direction of Mark Spondike. A number of the Choir's members come from Highland Park and other East End neighborhoods, so it should be a fun evening for family and friends, parish and neighborhood. [Highland Park] Looking for a Few Dedicated Gardeners

Dear Neighbors Do you love gardening? Would you like to help make Highland Park a more beautiful place to live/work/visit? I'm looking for a few volunteers to help replant and/or maintain the flower beds near the pillars at the main entrance to Highland Park. The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy will provide plants, mulch and support. I anticipate the time commitment for this will be 2-3 hours in May for planting and an hour for maintenance, 2 times a month from June to September. If you are interested, please respond to me by email. If you are new to gardening, but would like to try it out, we will teach. [Highland Park] White Mazda 626 for sale

Sending this message out for a second time, with a reduced price as I really need to sell this car soon! White Mazda 2002 626 in good condition. slight dent on passenger door, cracked vinyl on driver dashboard and driver armrest. 122800 miles on the odometer. vehicle had its transmission replaced 3 years ago. Brand new tires installed in June with 80,000 mile lifespan. After market radio, with built in bluetooth mic and bluetooth audio streaming as well as ipod and aux in inputs. Bluebook value for this vehicle is 3,400 dollars for a Mazda 626 in this condition, I'm selling it at a steep discount as Im moving soon and need the car sold. The vehicle needs new front breaks soon (estimated cost of 120$) and has a slight leak in the transmission ( my mechanic first noted the leak in june, and this september when he checked the vehicle over said that very little transmission fluid needed to be replaced. he said the leak is negligible). I just drove the car up from Virginia with no problems. Oil and Transmission fluid just changed. I'm asking 1800, Or best Offer
