Hi Neighbors I'm a neighbor living in Highland Park and I'm also a producer for WQED. I am looking for your help. My next big project for "Experience" --a local 30 minute program that airs Monday evenings at 7:30-- is about bullying. I am looking for both adults and children (under 18 will need parental permission) who have been bullied or the bully who are willing to be interviewed on camera--- if need be unidentified. I am interested in childhood bullying for whatever reason as well as adult workplace bullying. If you should decide to participate the on camera interview (identified or not) would take place where you are most comfortable---at your home or here at WQED. It would not take long---no more than 90 minutes. And if you are an adult talking about your childhood experience I would like pictures of you from that time. I am looking for any heartfelt stories of being a victim or witness to bullying or being a bully. Please email me if you are interested. On Friday my water heater died. After being aghast at the prices at Sears/Home Depot etc. for water heaters + installation, I had the good fortune of finding this add on Craigslist: *40 gallon water heater installed!! 6 year warranty!! - $500* *hi, i'm a local registered plumber and i picked up a few water heaters at a great price and now i can pass the savings on to you, i have done lots of work thru craigs list in the past with excellent luck! this price includes a brand new name brand (american water heater co./ u.s. craftmasters) 40 gal. water heater with a 6 year warranty, tax, and basic installation. i WILL NOT come and give you a song and dance about how your plumbing is "illegal or a threat to society" or some other crazy scheme to get you to spend more,,i just offer a quality product, service, and installation. price is for either gas or electric and short or tall water heater. can do other plumbing repairs as well. please call or text or email the link above. 412-874-9382. thanks for looking! * I called him on Friday night. [Highland Park] Car Break-Ins

Hello Neighbors, I'm writing to let you all know about 2 car break-ins in the last few days. My car and the car of my friend who was visiting were parked on Supreme Way behind my house in the 700 block of N. Beatty Street. At approximately 9:15 pm on Wednesday, January 15, both of our cars were broken into. The vandals used cinder blocks to smash out both of our front passenger side windows. My satellite radio (which was in the center console compartment and out of sight) was the only item stolen from my vehicle as I never keep anything else in my car. My friend had his leather bag and wallet stolen, though. Both were on the front seat of his car in plain sight. Just wanted everyone to be aware of what happened. I did call the police and we each filed a police report. This is a good lesson for those of you who might occasionally leave valuables in your car, especially in plain sight. Don't do it!
