Milestone Services, Inc. provides many therapeutic arts programs to individuals with mental illnesses, including those who are deaf and/or have intellectual disabilities. (www.milestonecentersinc.org<http://www.milestoneservicesinc.org/> ) Kane Regional Center, a residential nursing facility in Glen Hazel, has asked Milestone artists to fill the hospital with their work. Currently, Kane’s walls are mostly bare. Furthermore, Kane residents are meeting with Milestone artists to discuss the art they would most like on the walls - an empowering situation for both parties. For instance, our photography group is already taking pictures of sites around Pittsburgh - sites directly commissioned by Kane residents. BUT WE NEED FRAMES!!!! (no smaller than 8x10; no larger than 20 X 30 ), preferably with glass....to fill this building with beautiful art.... Your contribution will make a big difference in many people's lives.
