Hello, My husband and I looking for a part-time nanny/sitter for 2 days a week - roughly 5 hours each day on a regular schedule (Mondays and Wednesdays most likely - although we're flexible). Does anyone in Highland Park do this sort of work or does anyone have any recommendations? We're comfortable with someone in our home or taking our son to another residency - references required of course. Our son is 4 months old, so the individual would obviously have to be experienced with infants. Someone within the area would be ideal, although we are certainly open to recommendations in and around the Eastern Pittsburgh area. Hi HP folks, I'm having an event, sponsored by the Sprout Fund, for freelancers and independent workers to brainstorm and figure out how to create a sustaining cohesive community, what they (we) need, and how to get it. Possibilities would include a co-working space for designers and artists, an online forum to connect local folks to each other, more events, or even a union to provide health insurance.
