Beautiful Pali Crib purchased at Babyland. Converts to toddler bed and then a couch. Comes with 2 mattresses, upholstered cushions and bolsters. 3. [Highland Park] Smartscape by Swope

I'd like to add my two cents worth to the "Smartscape" controversy. Steve Swope was recommended to me originally by someone on this site and I've used him for lawn care ever since. He's been with me two years now in two locations and as a growing business owner myself, I can see that he's got a great business going and while there may be some room for improvement in a couple of areas, he is honest, hard working, reliable and professional. He responds well to constructive criticism and will do whatever is asked of him. He is on his own so unlike a large landscaping company if he has a personal emergency, that will affect his ability to show up on any given day. I have the same problem in my pet sitting business and I have advised him to get back-up, just as I have - to cover jobs when I have a family emergency, or illness, as we all do from time-to-time. Steve is an East End resident who has just started doing this full time; let's give him our support. Hello Friends, Well, I finally closed the deal and the store is mine. We are looking at 3+ weeks of cleaning, painting, and just general sprucing up of the place. I want to make sure the place is fresh before I bring in nice products. We will not be accepting EBT until we receive our license from the state.(they say 60 days so we'll see) The Port Authority has gone to new cards for the bus passes, and they are only letting the big retailers sell them(so they say)...so no more bus passes :( sorry The money order machine should be back up and running in 10 days. If anyone likes scraping tape and stickers off windows.....let me know BTW...I need a window washer for regular service. Hey everyone, During the February winter storm one of our smaller gutters disconnected from the main gutter and now needs to be reconnected. I am asking on behalf of my father and it looks fairly easy to fix, but we need someone who is reliable and is able to get the job done the first time around. Hello everyone! My husband, daughter and I have lived in the Point Breeze area for a little over a year now while I attend graduate school at CMU. Recently a number of friends in the Highland Park neighborhood have encouraged us to consider relocating, and so we are, in fact, considering! Here's where we could use your help. We have a lease that expires at the end of May and would be looking for a new place to lease for the coming year. We're interested in a 3-bedroom (or 2 bed+den/office) home with 1+ bath, W/D hookups, lots of storage that is also pet-friendly. We have a well-behaved, potty-trained, Boston Terrier who is part of our family, so we need a place that will accept small (less than 25 lbs) pets. We'd prefer a standalone house or duplex, but would be willing to consider all options. If you have, or know of someone who has, a rental property that matches this description, please let us know! We'd be happy to provide more information upon request, and there are a number of residents would would be willing to vouch for us. Thanks for your help. [Highland Park] Bryant Street Festival

Hi, The Highland Park Community Council will have a booth at the Festival to, in part, provide material on how to conduct a block party. That said, I would appreciate any input from those of you that have had block parties in the past. No sense reinventing the wheel when there are experienced members of the community that might be willing to share their knowledge. With the Festival close at hand I would appreciate any and all input by May 10th.
