Hi! I have some old (maybe 50+ years) curtains that came with my house. They are long (8 ft), gold, with a two-tone gold pattern. They are a bit frayed at the edges. (There is also a piece to cover a valance, with scalloped edges and a tassle-like fringe.) They would be _ideal_ for a theater group, who might want them for old-fashioned costumes or backgrounds. [Highland Park] Beautiful cat looking for a home for the holidays!

Hi neighbors: I am fostering a beautiful grey and white long haired cat for Animal Friends. She is about four years old, and was brought into the shelter about 3 years ago through the humane investigations dept. She was adopted but recently returned to the shelter (through no fault of her own), and was having a tough time in the cat room because of all the natural shelter activity. Jinju is a little shy right at first, and nervous about her head being petted (who knows what she's gone through), but has warmed up beautifully in the couple weeks I've had her. She actively seeks attention and lets me hold her (when she's in the mood). She has also been cuddling with me at night, and purrs a lot. She gets along alright with other cats, but isn't really all that interested in them, so I think she would do ok as an only cat. She is fixed, healthy, and up to date on all her shots. Through the end of the year, Animal Friends will be adopting animals aged 2+ for no fee. This poor girl really needs a loving home that can make a lifetime commitment to her.
