Hello Neighbors, This is pretty random, but if anyone needs some dirt, or a nice big bucket/tub, we have a huge bucket of dirt sitting out on our sidewalk. I had great hopes of finding a home for said bucket 'o dirt, but have run out of time with my project and now would like to just see it move on. So, if this appeals to anyone, please come and take it away. It is VERY heavy, so you will definitely need some help. [Highland Park] window

We have, as do many HPers, a house with many old windows. We have a good window company installing storm windows/screens, but one of our windows is missing altogether. The previous owner took it out and apparently discarded it, plugging it up so as to install a room AC. We would like to have a real window that somewhat matches the rest of our windows, but are having a tough time time finding someone who can either retro-fit an old window from someplace like Construction Junction, or help us figure out what sort of new window we can install so as to match our older windows. The cost of building a new wooden window from scratch to spec is prohibitive, but I suppose if that is what it comes down to, that is what we will do. In the meantime, I am exploring other options. Anyone have any suggestions/comments/recommendations? Thanks, Val

[Highland Park] bees

Hi, Neighbors -- Any suggestions for companies/ individuals that can exterminate bees? There are hives in the shrubs that line the public walkway from Sheridan to Heberton and we suspect that they have moved into the rock wall around our driveway. We have contacted the City, but please take care when using that sidewalk -- the bees are aggressive. Many thanks, Laura & Jim
