I've spoken with several people who seem to have the same problem as me regarding blue bags and city recycling. Now that many of us take our own re-usable bags to grocery shop, we don't seem to have anything to use to recycle our stuff with the city. Some have tried to use the blue bins but apparently they get stolen quickly. While I can't officially speak for the city, I noticed that they have taken cardboard boxes full of plastic, etc. when a neighbor has left recycling out like that. I have followed suit and so far they have always taken it. I wanted to offer it as a suggestion and also if you run out of boxes, it's easy to get them from local vendors. Whenever I go to a smaller shop (just seems easier to request from them rather than, say, a busy Giant Eagle) I ask for boxes and they are more than happy to give me their broken down boxes. This may do double good as I've noticed that many businesses in the city don't tend to recycle. So if you do this, you may be helping re-use cardboard boxes which might otherwise have gone in the regular trash. (City businesses not recycling is another issue. They tend to have private companies deal with their trash. The last time I did office work for a company in the city I inquired as to whether the private refuse company we used would recycle if we separated the trash. They said that wasn't part of their normal operation (REALLY I THOUGHT RECYCLING WAS MANDATORY BY LAW IN PGH?) but they would possibly do so for extra $. It seems this needs improvement.) [Highland Park] Proform Treadmill $250

Hello, I bought a treadmill from a coworker a few months ago but there really isn't a good place in my house to use it...my basement is very damp and I'm afraid to use it on the second floor since my house has shifted quite a bit. It is a Proform 725 treadmill from Sears. The woman I purchased it from paid at least $600 (she couldn't remember the exact amount) and I bought it for $300 and would like to sell it for $250. I have the paperwork, instruction manual, etc...it folds up nicely and honestly hasn't been used more than ten times. Thank you to everyone who recommended concrete and masonry contractors. Several people requested that I share the recommendations I received with the group. Below are the names of some of the contractors with recommendations, in no particular order: 1. Tom Thorp Construction - 412-441-3478 - "Best in town. Local contractor has been in business many years." 2. DiBucci and Sons - 412-362-3407 - "DiBucci is good, but might be on the pricey side. They recently rebuilt our porch steps and replaced some of the public sidewalk." 3. Mike Ficorilli - 412-496-6340 - " His father rebuilt our front steps this summer and Mike has done excavation and driveway work for us and I'm going to have him replace a sidewalk for us." 4. Tony Kowalecki - 412-527-5327 - "Highly recommended. In business for years. Has worked a lot on Jackson st and in the area." 5.
