As a follow-up to my original posting of a vet rec list, someone wisely pointed out to me that I neglected to label the list as recommendations *specifically for dogs* even though that is what I had originally asked people to write about. If you are seeking vet recommendations in the future for animals other than dogs (i.e. cats, rabbits, etc.), please know that there are likely additional vets out there that are not on this list. I should also add that those that are at the top of the list are there because they received the most amount of mentions in emails; this positioning does not necessarily reflect their total popularity or quality, but only the aggregate of opinions of those on this listserv who took the time to reply. Finally, the list is in no way a personal endorsement of any particular vet on the list or a non-endorsement of vets not on the list. Please find the correctly labeled list attached. I did not include info about prices as I figure what is 'cheap' or 'expensive' is subjective. I also did not included number of years folks have been using a vet, but in many instances, people spoke of relationships that ranged from 9 to 25 years. I also did not break out individual vets from clinics because in the vast majority of cases, people were happy with every vet at a particular clinic. The list is ordered by a) number of recommendations and then b) alphabetically. Please feel free to distribute this list as you wish.
