This schedule is from <http://www.pennavenuearts.org/>: Friday, May 6 1:45-6PM:: East Mall High Rise - 5805 PENN AVENUE MAY’S UNBLURRED HIGHLIGHTS EAST LIBERTY Start Unblurred Friday at the Official East Mall Demolition Party: GET DOWN! 1:45PM: Gong Lung Sing Si Deui (Steel Dragon) Dance Team 2PM: Speeches from elected officials & neighborhood representatives* 3PM: Giant Sling Shot (designed by Johnny Lee and Joshua Atlas) will allow party-goers to launch paint-filled balloons at the building 3:10PM: House of Soul (Band) 3:50PM: Davu Flint (Actor, poet, vocalist and educator) spoken word about politics & mythologies of comtemporary urban life 4:15PM - House of Soul (Band) 5-6PM - Nego Gato Capoaro (Drumming and Dance) PLUS: The Kelly-Strayhorn Theatre will screen “Celebrating East Liberty” Musical interludes provided by the legendary DJ Selecta WRCT 88.3 live broadcast Filmmaker Chris Ivey will be shooting footage for his new film documenting the past, present and future of East Liberty. An installation entitled “Words in Action” conceived by local artist Tim Kaulen with design work by Sean Barton will be installed at East Mall until its demolition.
