Commander Lando's weekly Zone 5 update is below and attached. Incidents from Highland Park include: 12/14/16 Burglary - 5500 block Jackson Street. Victim reports the rear door to his home was forced open and a bank debit card was stolen from the house. Suspect is believed to be a family member. We did have one shooting this week but an arrest was made quickly and it was learned that the shooting was believed to be accidental (two friends playing with a gun). Additionally, our officers attended a number of community events this week, including "Coffee with the Commander" at the new Everyday Cafe coffee house on N. Homewood Avenue and a holiday meet & greet which we hosted here at the police station on Saturday.
