My husband and I have just moved to Highland Park from TX (where we pretty much had NO experience with winter). Our house here still has its original windows and we've been warned many times about the heating bill that this will cause. The original glass is just beautiful and I would hate to get rid of it. I was hoping that someone else might have another solution that has worked for them - other than window replacement? A window guy that I had out today said that the original windows lose 96% more heat than his Home Depot windows. Putting a storm window over that would only reduce it to 84% (he had a pretty compelling little demo to prove it too). Thanks in advance for any and all advice!
