FAQs *where do other American cities have their police ranges?* in industrial neighborhoods and by airports, or, in the case of cities such as las vegas, in mountain foothills. *don't the police have to train somewhere?* absolutely. training very important. there are two existing ranges our force can use: in Alison Park, and McCandless. *are the waste products from 40 years of gunfire a health concern?* absolutely. firing range waste (casings, bullets) contains a lot of lead. we don't know if the waste on the hill is disposed of propoerly or that cleanup is supervised. that's a lot of lead potentially seeping into our water. honolulu's police firing range closed recently because officers had elevated lead levels <https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2022/12/01/city-hires-contractor-evaluate-review-koko-head-firing-range-amid-lead-concerns/> . again thanks for signing, please share widely!
