The traditional service of Choral Evensong is sung by the Choir of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Highland Park, Pittsburgh, at 8 p.m. on the First Thursday evening of each month, October-June, at 8 p.m. The choral service is followed each month by a musical recital--and then by a dessert reception in the Parish Hall. Thursday, October 6, 8 p.m. Choral Evensong: Service by Thomas Walmisley; Anthem, "O Thou the Central Orb," by Charles Wood. Recital: Rebecca Rollett, Organist, playing works by J.S. Bach. Dr. Rollett is an accomplished organist, an adjunct member of the music faculty at Carnegie Mellon University, and Artistic Director of the Pittsburgh Camerata.
