East Liberty History Festival, 2010 A number of Highland Park residents attended the kickoff wine and cheese get-together on February 18 to initiate the plannned 2010 History Festival. At that event, we began the process of forming committees to move this project along. A variety of tasks are being addressed, including starting a membership campaign for the East End/East Liberty Historical Society, organizing the 2010 Festival, and developing plans for a permanent center. The first followup meeting is now scheduled for Thursday April 30, 7:00 - 9:00 pm at East Liberty Presbyterian Church, McKelvey Room (Penn & Highland Avenues). Whether or not you attended the February 18 event, you are welcome to attend the April 30 meeting to see how you might plug in. There will be lots of ways to help. We look forward to seeing you.
