[Highland Park] community garden
Hi I am the Volunteer Coordinator for the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy Community Gardens and Greenspace Program. We have a Community Garden in your community; it is located at the Highland Park Bridge @ Butler St. I am sure most of you have driven by it and seen the magnificent flower display every season. We are looking for someone in the community to take on the job of garden steward for the garden. It could be an individual or a group, such as a boy or Girl Scout troop or a group of neighbors that like to garden. The job isn't very difficult, it mostly involves helping with the planting, weeding during the summer and help with the pull out in the fall. We do the mowing and watering. We have 140 gardens in and around Western Pennsylvania and they are all volunteer run. Please help me find someone to keep this garden looking good in Highland Park. Send me an email or give me a call if you have any ideas. Thanks, Lynn Lynn McGuire-Olzak Volunteer Coordinator Western Pennsylvania Conservancy Community Gardens & Greenspace Program 800 Waterfront Drive Pittsburgh,PA 15222 412-586-2324 lmcguire-olzak@paconserve.org Board Member - Volunteer Administrators of Southwestern Pennsylvania, National Association of Volunteer Resource Management
