[Highland Park] Home for sale
Dear Highland Park Friends and Neighbors, Janelle and I have lived in Highland Park for more than 5 years; during that time, we've grown to love our neighborhood in particular and the city in general. However, because I recently received a job offer that would allow us to move closer to family, we have made the difficult decision to put our house (1210 Mellon Street, adjacent to La Foret and across Mellon Street from the Nuin Center) on the market. Many of you likely remember that the previous owner of our house (Tom Gray) did a complete structural and architectural restoration/renovation of the 100-year-old property over a 7-year period; the home was featured on the 1999 home tour. We have worked to continue Tom's vision by adding a library alcove with a bamboo floor, a media room with cork floor (featuring a front projection DVD system, an eight-foot screen, surround sound, and beverage refrigerator), and other improvements (for real estate listing, pictures, and additional details, click here: http://www.pittsburghmoves.com/property/propertydetail.aspx?property=f2a5a82...). While Janelle and I are excited by the opportunities associated with this new phase in our life, the decision to leave our Pittsburgh friends and a house that we love also makes the process bittersweet. Thank you for making Highland Park such an exciting, desirable, and close-knit Pittsburgh community in which to live.
