[Highland Park] Evensong & Recital for Twelfth Night
A "First Thursday at St. Andrew's" service of Choral Evensong, followed by musical recital, on the Eve of the Feast of the Epiphany, Thursday, January 5, at 8 p.m. The service will be sung by St. Andrew's Choir, under the direction of Peter J. Luley. The recital will be presented by Highland Park neighbor Charlotta Klein Ross, who plays cello in the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Elizabeth Ross, voice, and Barbara I. Lewis, piano. They will present works by J.S. Bach, Mark Summer, Johannes Brahms, and . . . Charlie Chaplin! All are welcome, and a festive reception will follow in Brooks Hall. St. Andrew's is located at 5801 Hampton Street, between North Highland and North Negley Avenues, one block south of Bryant Street and four blocks south of the park, in the East End Pittsburgh neighborhood of Highland Park.
