Met him (a male) about 4:15pm today -- I was walking my dog and he joined us -- this was at the corner of Bryant & Farragut -- a spaniel, brown & white w/ long ears and cropped tail -- perhaps 40+ lbs. He was gentle but seemed confused and frightened and followed us home.  I am at 1111 Farragut St. and my yard is fenced so I closed the gate.  Tried to give him food -- he refused -- but seems sweet and got along fine w/ my dog.  He was wearing a blue collar but would not let me inspect it.  He wanted out so I opened the gate and he headed down Farragut towards Jackson. I did call Animal Control but they could not find him.  It's going to be a cold night so I may leave my gate open and put out a bed w/ bedding on my front porch.  Alas, I have a dog and cat and can't adopt another but w/ his collar I assume he has an owner.  Let's get him back home! --  Margaret O'Connell
