Fight to retain a grocery store in Garfield The 5200 Penn Avenue Bottom Dollar, along with 45 other Bottom Dollar stores in PA are slated to close at the end of the year due to the sale of these stores to ALDI, Inc. ALDI, Inc. has not shared its store by store plan to retain grocery stores in each of the Bottom Dollar locations. Many communities could be left with boarded up facilities and no community access to food. We have also heard that equipment and store fixtures are going to be removed. The Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation and partners are organizing a Neighborhood Grocery Store Rally on December 22nd to support keeping a grocery store at 5200 Penn Avenue.
