Thank you to everyone who responded. Mr. John moved out today. Saturday morning, after I had penned the email, there was a large group of people gathered in the area and they proceeded to remove all the garbage that has been thrown over the hillside. I suspect it was placed there for their use. More importantly, many thanks to that group of gracious people for spending part of their weekend to remove all the appliances, tires and other junk that has been mindlessly thrown into the surrounding woods and hillside. thanks again, neighbours! I phoned the telephone number that's on Mr. John's house, but only received a recording to call back on Monday. While it's sitting on city/park property, I don't appreciate looking at it from my front windows (it's doesn't blend in with the fall foliage...) and it surely doesn't seem there's a need for it there. All the homes here have indoor plumbing. Also, given the vandalism of the "johns" in the park and the most recent vandalism of dozens of car windows on this street, the last thing we need is to see our new neighbour "Mr. John" on it's side. Does anyone know who within the city I should contact to find out why in the world Mr. John now resides in our neighbourhood?
