Hello Neighbors, The bad news is that since New Years Day falls on a Saturday this year, we will be closed on Saturday January 1. The good news is that will be open on Friday, December 31st- New Years Eve. We are open from 5 am until 11 am. So please stop by for all your New Years needs. Due to the holidays, I did not get to talk to many of the famers this week. I did get a call from Sam Byler up at Riverview Dairy, and he is sending a fresh shipment of goat cheese and yogurt that will be available at the market on Friday. He also let me know that he has been aging some cheese and it will be available in January. He plans to make a personal visit to the market in January. I also got an email from Val at Kennedy Farm about the meat. Sounds like there will be lots of pork for New Years day and locally made sauerkraut. See her message below for more details. Kennedy Meat Stand will be open this Friday, New Year's Eve morning, 12/31 from 5am - 11 am...please call now, ASAP,to order anything special cut... bone-in pork loin boneless pork loin local sauerkraut (by the pound) all sausages **since last week was so slow, AND since we need customers to come in, AND in order for us to keep on bringing fresh, local meat to the City, we have decided to bring in many frozen items (along with fresh) this Friday to clear our freezers. We want to be able to bring in FRESH items for the rest of the winter season (every Saturday am), but we need customers !!! **please pick up your orders by 10am, as we need to have your meat product out of our coolers in order to finish our proper clean up procedures...ALL late pick -ups delay this process, and keep us from doing our job properly, and quickly !
