Hi everyone, Following is an email I sent last Sunday to my customer e-list. I meant to also inform all of you at the same time and got sidetracked. So, if your grapevine isn't working, read on. It's the end of a 45 year era, but a brand new beginning for Brad! --- It is with great sadness that I need to inform you that Smiley's has to close. Despite all our efforts, and all of your wonderful and dearly appreciated support, we have to be out by the end of the month. We've tried so many things since the makeover in late January with no success. Our monthly numbers have actually gone down. I can't tell you how sorry I am to have let you all down. Words are inadequate. For all our loyal boarding customers, this means that unfortunately we can't accept reservations that extend past April 30th. We will miss caring for your little critters and apologize for the inconvenience. Everything in the store is now on sale. If there's anything you need, come on in and get a deal. All you Smiley Savers who have been saving up your points, now is the time to use them. Believe it or not, there is a strong possibility of a plan for the future. There is a space available in Point Breeze, on Gettysburg Street between the vet clinic and Modern Dog daycare. Brad has already put money down on a place over there. I'm going to do everything I can to support him in this effort. Like me, this is his life. I would stay on with him as a consultant for as long as he would have me. So, that's the news.
