Hi everyone - I just wanted to post here about a little neighborhood treasure to be found nearby, in case anyone hasn’t heard about it yet - the new pairing of Cut + Sew Studio and Loom Exquisite Textiles in Morningside. (http://cutandsewstudio.com & http://www.loomshowroom.com) Cut + Sew used to be in HP (right by Bryant Street Market) but moved to a new location at 1747 Chislett Street - with lots more space and *so* much natural light. There are tons of sewing machines, huge tables for cutting fabric, and all the tools you need to sew up something beautiful. They offer classes for all skill levels, and many classes for kids. And if you already know what you’re doing and just want to work independently, they offer Open Studio times for $10/hr - great for friends who want to meet up to get to work on something crafty. Loom Exquisite Textiles has had a location in the Strip District for a long time, but opened a new shop right next to Cut + Sew at 1745 Chislett, with so much beautiful fabric, really cool buttons & ribbon, and all the notions you need to get started on a project right away. Just thought I’d mention this to the list, as both are definitely worth a visit. Shopping there is a great way to support local businesses! Thanks - Megan
