This training is part of an expansion of the pilot program that allows paramedics to administer a recovery medication to treat opioid withdrawal and connect patients to a telemedicine bridge clinic where they can access harm reduction and recovery supports. This set of trainings more than doubled the size of the program, expanding to Pittsburgh's Northside and East End. The Opioid Overdose Dashboard uses de-identified (HIPAA compliant) data from the Bureau of EMS to provide information regarding opioid overdose calls for service in the City of Pittsburgh on a monthly basis. The dashboard also includes neighborhood-level mapping, demographic information, and other statistics regarding care provided by Public Safety professionals. BigBurgh.com is a web app that connects Pittsburgh residents to free, low-barrier services, events and programs. It is a run by OCH&S to ensure that needed resources can be identified quickly and privately. This week our BigBurgh VISTA member Alena Chulick visited the Veteran Leadership Program (VLP) in the Strip District to see the great work they do for our veteran neighbors.
