[Highland Park] tree service happiness
thanks to everyone (lots of you!) who sent tree service suggestions. we opted for hellmann's tree service --phone # 921-7149. they promptly gave us an estimate, and took out the tree only a few days after we called to accept their bid. the hellman people are fast, thorough, and extremely pleasant. they did no damage to our front yard, and they cleaned up everything perfectly including our neighbor's side walk. their price was the second lowest of the several bids we got, and it wasn't much higher than the lowest. the lowest bid came from a service who couldn't do the work for a month or maybe a litte more. so we're enthusiastic about hellmann's tree service. thanks again, jim bogen
I wanted to share some information concerning the 911 response system. Over the last several months I have heard several similar stories where a 911 operator questioned the validity or urgency of a 911 call. I'm sure we can all agree that we wouldn't be calling 911 unless we felt that we or someone else was in danger or the law was being broken. If you feel you have been ignored or otherwise received questionable service from the 311 system, please take a few minutes to complete a 311 request online and include the information listed below.
