Tamburri a Pittsburgh native as President. Under his leadership, the PSO is seeking out partnerships with other arts and community organizations, and is creating interesting programming like the Community Partners Concert that serves the diversity of Pittsburgh area residents. We are committed to making the PSO an asset for all who live and work in this region. Conceived as an annual collaboration with other greater Pittsburgh non-profit organizations, the PSO Community Partners Concert is an innovative approach to ticket sales and fundraising. Patrons earmark the cost of their ticket purchase to benefit their participating non-profit of choice. The PSO donates the orchestra services, and secures corporate sponsors to underwrite out-of-pocket costs associated with guest artist services and concert production. Proceeds from the concert are distributed among participating community partners. This year's performance features Grammy Award-winner Dionne Warwick and conductor Chelsea Tiption II. Also featured in this performance is Christina Castelli, violin, winner of the prestigious Sphinx Competition.
