Announcing Pittsburgh’s first Day of Giving PittsburghGives Match Day will be tomorrow morning, Wednesday, October 28th from 10 AM to 12 noon. To participate in this terrific donation matching event, go to the web site <www.PittsburghGives.org> today and create a Log In account. Then, Log In tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at <www.PittsburghGives.org> from anywhere or join us in the PPG Wintergarden, Downtown Pittsburgh for a live public event. Type in the name of a non-profit such as Homeless Children's Education Fund or HCEF <www.homelessfund.org> in the box marked "Organization Name" and follow the prompts to make your contribution. Euclid Ave PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AS THE FOLLOWING REGULATIONS APPLY FOR MATCH DAY 2009: The challenge match will be in effect beginning at 10:00 a.m. on October 28, 2009 for public users until matching funds ($300,000) are exhausted or 12:00 p.m. on October 29, 2009. Donations through the PittsburghGives site to eligible charities are tax deductible and irrevocable (donations will not be refunded.) Making a donation during the Match Day period does not guarantee matching funds. Donations will be matched until the match pool of dollars is depleted. Public user contributions or Pittsburgh Foundation Donor contributions are eligible to be matched .50 cents to the $1.00 up to a maximum of $2,500 per individual or company. For example, if Jane Doe gives an organization a $2,500 grant, the org. receives $1,250 in match money for Jane's gift. If she raises her gift to $10,000, the organization's total in match money from Jane's gift is still only $1,250. Public users are individuals or companies. Non-profit organizations may not donate to themselves. PF Donors are individuals who have established an endowment fund at The Pittsburgh Foundation. The minimum credit card contribution is $50. The maximum credit card contribution is $10,000. The minimum grant recommendation is $200.
