Hello Highland Park residents, In response to questions and concerns received from some of you regarding the Zoning Board of Adjustment hearing announced below, our office contacted the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium and encouraged them to postpone the hearing so that they would have more time to inform the community about their plans. This morning, I attended the Zoning hearing and the Zoo did request a continuance. The new date will be Thursday, December 2nd at 9:00am in the Civic Building at 200 Ross Street. They have also agreed to present at the next Highland Park Community Club meeting on Thursday, November 18th along with representatives of Verizon. Please plan to attend this meeting to learn more. The purpose of this equipment is to improve coverage for Verizon customers who work and visit the zoo for the sake of safety and convenience. Please see the attached document for additional details.
