Hi neighbors! We at Tree Pittsburgh have seen a lot of questions from folks about recommending arborists or folks to come cut down trees, especially with all the storms we've had this summer. While that's not something Tree Pittsburgh does (we don't work on private property), we do recommend that you find someone who is a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture. Locally, our Certified Arborists should be members of the Pennsylvania Delaware Chapter <https://www.penndelisa.org/find-an-arborist> of the ISA. You can read more about finding arborists on our website: https://www.treepittsburgh.org/resource/how-to-choose-an-arborist/. We also get questions about who to call when you see a damaged tree, or if you see someone vandalizing trees, etc. The answer is usually 311, but not always. You can find a fairly comprehensive list of situations (questions and answers!) on our website: https://www.treepittsburgh.org/resource/who-to-call-when/. Lastly, a plug for volunteers! If you're interested in volunteering with Tree Pittsburgh check out our calendar at www.treepittsburgh.org/events. Thanks to all of our Highland Park Tree Tenders who work hard to organize tree care events and keep the neighborhood looking beautiful.
