Re: [Highland Park] Please clean-up after dogs.
Why is everyone being so super polite about this? It is poop. It is gross. And it is rude to leave it lying about. The City of Pittsburgh requires dog owners to clean up after their pets. If you can not afford doggie bags or some other means of cleaning up, then you can not afford to take proper care of your dog in the City of Pittsburgh. Clean up the poop, people. http://www.pittsburghpa.gov/animalcontrol/owners.htm http://www.city.pittsburgh.pa.us/main/assets/stormwater/07_doggydoo.pdf Message: 2 Date: Sat, 21 Jan 2012 11:15:58 -0500 (EST) From: Deb <centersq1@aol.com> Subject: Re: [Highland Park] Please clean-up after dogs. I have witnessed others allowing their dogs to roam about the street, messing in other people's yards while the owner stands nonchalantly by and does nothing to clean up the mess. I have found feces on my sidewalk leading to my front door, in various places in my yard, and even draped over a beautiful new spring planting! It is really upsetting to me to see this. Our neighborhood is only as beautiful and sanitary and clean as we keep it. Please be a good neighbor and be responsible for your pets. I too, would hate to see someone fined, but am glad to know there is legal recourse. If you cannot afford doggie poop bags, ask one of your neighbors. I am sure someone would be able to help you out. Thanks.
