Hello neighbors! Pittsburgh School for the Choral Arts is hosting a Musical Scenes camp for students in 1st through 8th grade July 11 - 15 at Waverly Presbyterian Church. Join us! More info at www.pghchoralarts.org/camp The PSCA *Musical Scenes* Camp is a brand new, week-long camp of fun activities, music learning, arts and dance activities for children entering grades 1 through 8. Students will be grouped by age and skill level, but will also interact with all ages during full-group activities. Each day at camp focuses on a different aspect of performing arts, culminating in a performance of musical storytelling at the end of the week. Half of the time will be dedicated to music and acting and the other half will be set design, dance and other artistic endeavors! Musicals and Scenes include: Lonely Goatherd from *Sound of Music*, Truly Scrumptious from*Chitty Chitty Bang Bang*, Let’s Go Fly a Kite from *Mary Poppins*, Wells Fargo Wagon from *Music Man* and more! No previous musical experience is necessary! All experience levels are more than welcome! Our Camp is run by faculty of the Pittsburgh School for the Choral Arts: - Kathryn Barnard, PSCA Director - Emily Swora, Kodaly certified Choral Instructor - Melissa Johnson, Musicgarten certified Choral Instructor - Hannah Barnard, Dance Instructor - At least five (5) Concentio member camp volunteers Managing Director, Jenny Fein, will also be on site all week. Camp will run 9 AM – 4 PM, with extended care available. Join us for an unforgettable experience of new music, games, community, and fun! - All campers will be provided with two (nut-free) snacks per day.
