I have been digging out pachysandra and have left a lot with roots at the sidewalk edge at 6020 Wellesely Ave (1st block up from Highland on the right side of the street). This grows horizontally so if you lay the roots in a shallow trench it will continue to spread. Water well at first. It is hardy all winter; looks great and is always green. --
