If this is an issue that concerns you, then join us and connect with fellow Pittsburghers to make an impact: *Pittsburghers Against Single-Use Plastic (PASUP) *Action Meeting Sunday, January 19, 2020, 2 - 4:30 pm @ Friends Meeting House, 4836 Ellsworth Ave, 15213 (Oakland) Current planned projects for the spring include: - *Working on reducing single-use plastics through the school district and parent-teacher groups* - *Forging partnerships to allow citizens to get #5 and #1 plastics to a material recycler* - *Advocating to local grocery stores to stop using single-use plastic in their cafes and investigate the most sustainable options to use in their produce and bakery departments. * PASUP's initiatives are driven by our participants so if you have other ideas you'd like to work on, bring them along!
