Current planned projects for the spring include:
  • Working on reducing single-use plastics through the school district and parent-teacher groups
  • Forging partnerships to allow citizens to get #5 and #1 plastics to a material recycler
  • Advocating to local grocery stores to stop using single-use plastic in their cafes and investigate the most sustainable options to use in their produce and bakery departments. 
PASUP's initiatives are driven by our participants so if you have other ideas you'd like to work on, bring them along! 


Also join us for the Annual Friends Benefit Concert, benefiting PASUP on Friday, January 31, 2020, 7:30 to 10 pm, also at the Friends Meeting House

"The Annual Friends Benefit Concert returns to the renovated Quaker Meeting House on Friday, January 31, 7:30 to 10:00 pm. 

Featuring Smokestack Lightning, Glass Run Gals, GrayScale, Raging Grannies, and special guests.

This year’s beneficiaries are CeaseFire PA and Pittsburghers Against Single-Use Plastic (PASUP). Help us make a joyful midwinter noise, sample homemade baked goods, and raise funds for two good causes.  Donation: $15 (or what you can afford) collected at the door, 4836 Ellsworth Ave, Pittsburgh 15213.  Seating is limited.  Doors open at 7:00 pm.  Event on Facebook."
