Dear HP'ers: Once again for us, no Thursday or Friday newspaper. My husband continues to telephone and a couple of times they have dropped off a paper later in the day. He usually speaks to some nice person who apologizes and gives various responses. They seem to admit that they know there is a problem in our neighborhood. The latest is that yes, they are short handed and have been advertising on social media for drivers. Presumably when they stopped publishing several days, they must have been paying less and so they cannot attract drivers. Here is an idea: If anyone out there knows of someone who would like a job, albeit one that requires driving in the night, please have them call the PG. We hope at some point, they get back on track with better results.
