We'll be painting faces, handing out Halloween candy and having a great time! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS WEEKEND The Union Project has a volunteer workday this Saturday from 9am until 3pm. Everyone is welcome to offer their hands in helping out. We are also in need of some extra wheelbarrows. NOVEMBER 3 - FIRST FRIDAY @ UNION PROJECT – APPRECIATION NIGHT 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm On Friday, November 3 the Union Project will hold an evening of celebration and appreciation for those who have offered their gifts and time to further the mission of the Union Project. Come join us as we recognize Susan Indrisano, Board Chair for the U.P. as the 2006 Volunteer of the Year and dedicate the Foltz Board Room in honor of board member emeritus Robert S. Foltz. Stained glass restoration demonstrations, Olga Watkins Trio, appetizers and drinks will be part of the celebration for volunteer service. X-MAS TREE SALE BEGINS NOV. 27TH Fraiser Fir, Canaan Fir, Concolor Fir, Scotch Pine and Table-Top Trees will be on sale at the Union Project’s Annual X-Mas Tree Sale will begin Nov. 27th and run until Dec. 23rd. Trees prices will begin at $20. Trees, wreaths and stands will be on sale weekdays 4pm-9pm, Saturdays 10am-9pm and Sundays 12pm-9pm. For more information check out the website. WHAT’S THAT VINYL THING? Union Project has partnered with the YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh to bring international artist Lynn Johnson’s installation “From Intolerance to Understanding” to the corner of Negley and Stanton Avenues. Be sure to check out the artwork the next time you’re at Union Project. The installation is part of the YWCA’s Community Dialogue on Racism and Race Relations, which will be taking place at Union Project in November.
