Hi everyone, Yesterday I requested suggestions for getting a reel lawn mower sharpened. The options appear to be limited. Three people suggested Jay's Sharpening, 627 Plum Street, Oakmont (412-828-0844). He charges $25 and it is best to call first to ensure that he will be there. Two people suggested Squirrel Hill Locksmith at 2004 Murray Avenue, near Beacon Street (412-422-7354). However, when I called, I was told that the man who does their sharpening is ill and will not return until the beginning of June, at the earliest. Incidentally: Maturi Brothers in Lawrenceville is indeed out of business. I'm told they've been bought out by Cozzini Brothers, 714 Seco Road, Monroeville (412-646-4740). Since this is a long way to tote a lawn mower in the back of my car, I didn't pursue this lead. One person suggested that lawn mower sharpening services will be available at the Highland Park Yard Sale in June. Thank you to all who responded.
