Wow - thank you friends and neighbors! I received lots of responses to my request for recommendations for a new PCP that will be covered by UPMC insurance. A couple of folks asked that I share the list so here it is: -I really enjoy my dr, Margaret Morton in SqHill. I really haven't had any problems, but she always takes her time with me, and has a great sense of humor. She's independent, and participates in BOTH insurance plans. -I use Dr. Molly Conroy and she is part of UPMC insurance. She's at Montifiore, is very thorough, smart and I really like her. -I like Dr. Lori Steifel at Shadyside Family Health Center on Centre Ave in Shadyside. She's very good, very nice and responsive. She's a D.O. and part of an excellent group. -I recommend Dr Peter Bulova w UPMC internal Medicine. He is excellent! -Metro family practice: 4122472310 (my best friend -who is a family doc works there) Allison Aiken I am a family doc also, but my office is in greentree (I live in hp) -We use Raquel Buranosky who is on 9th fl of Montifiore Hospital in the Dept of Internal Medicine. She was a student of my husband's who is a physician. Very bright and nice. The best!! Very interested in Women's Health Issues -My PCP is Natalia Morone (http://findadoc.upmc.com/PhysicianBioQuery.aspx?EPCDID=16719) She is really nice, always listens carefully and respectfully to any concerns. She is at Montefiore. -We like the General Internal Medicine practice at Montefiore Hospital. I have had two doctors there (one left to pursue a different opportunity a few years ago) and have thought both were very good. I was not made to wait in the office for long periods of time. Since it is a large practice, if my physician is not available when I need to be seen sooner than later, there is someone else who can see me. 412 692-4888. Also, I can always find parking at the Montefiore garage and they validate my ticket so I think I only pay about $5.00. My PCP is Dr. Carla Spagnoletti but there are several excellent doctors in the practice. She's easy to talk to, quick to smile, thorough, definitely hands-on, communicates well. She used to be part of West Penn's system, now is with UPMC - her office in the medical building near Soldiers & Sailors and has a free parking in a garage shared w/ the Holiday Inn Express hotel. I've recommended her to at least one other friend who's now also been a long-time patient and really likes her, too. -I am very pleased with Dr. Smuckler out of Renaissance Family Practice in Glenshaw.
