Sunday morning, November 20, and once again the stirring sounds of pipe and drum will swell through the neighborhood of Highland Park. In observance of the 168th St. Andrew's Day since the founding of the parish in the spring of 1837 and the 100th since the setting of the cornerstone of our "new" Church at the corner of Hampton Street and North Euclid in the summer of 1905, St. Andrew's, Highland Park, celebrates our patronal feast, welcoming once again our good friends of the Syria Highlanders Pipe and Drum Band. Weather permitting, the Highlanders will play for 20 minutes or so, beginning at 10:40 a.m., out in the Churchyard, with the Grand Procession into the Church for the festival choral service at 11 a.m. More piping and a gala reception will follow the service, beginning at about noon. All are welcome to enjoy some or all of the morning with us! St. Andrew's is located at 5801 Hampton Street, between North Highland and North Negley Avenues, one block south of Bryant Street and four blocks south of the park, in the East End Pittsburgh neighborhood of Highland Park.
