[Highland Park] dishwasher service advice

Hello trusty Highland Park Neighborhood! I am soliciting DISH WASHING MACHINE *repair* advice. Its a newer Kenmore... and i think a straw is caught in the drain / disposal mechanism. the known sympton: the washer basin will not drain the water. when i hot the "drain" button it sounds ok until you hear the rotter/disposal mechanism kick in....
