Hi Everyone, Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to spring! I know I am...just dying to get out into the garden and start picking my own herbs for classes. I have attached the schedule of classes from the end of March through May. This year I will not be teaching in June but might put in a few classes for young adults. The "special occasion" dinners are well received. It's a chance to treat that 'special someone' to a class for a special occasion. And, we actually cook some "normal food" as my husband would say. The Thai I and II classes are very popular. People seem to enjoy the fruit and vegetable carvings in the Thai II. If you have taken any Thai classes you can register for Thai II and get all our new recipes that Martha and I learned in Thailand! The Chinese classes are struggling a bit. Seems that more people are into Thai--especially the younger generation. It's too bad because the Chinese recipes are to die for and it is in this class that you really learn knife skills and a lot of techniques. So, there's my plug for Chinese!! Just one more thing that I am very excited about.....Whirl magazine called and they doing articles on cooking schools in the area. The article will be in their Edible Allegheny Magazine that comes out at the end of this month. We had a photo shoot of the step-by-step procedures of a stir fry!! This just might boost an interest in Chinese cooking again! BTW, our culinary trip through Italy in March of 2012 had a fantastic response! At this point, if you are still interested, I can put you on a waiting list and send you a tentative schedule. Pricing has not been confirmed but it should be around $5000 plus airfare for 12 days to Venice, Tuscany, Rome, and Positano/Amalfi coast. We have 4 cooking classes arranged, lots of sightseeing planned, and three wonderful relaxing days at a villa in Tuscany!! Hope to see you in class soon, Dorothy, Martha, & Marianne
