The 31 year-old victim sustained a head laceration and was transported to West Penn Hospital in stable condition. Roberts was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault. (83287) *5/8/17 Shots Fired / Vehicle Struck - 2200 block East Hills Drive, 11:16 PM.* East Hills security located a vehicle with bullet holes and (3) .40 caliber shell casings on the sidewalk by the entryway to the laundry room. Once witness was located who stated that she heard some shots around 8:30 PM but did not call 911. There were no other calls for shots fired and nobody appears to have been injured in this incident. (84037) *5/9/17 Aggravated Assault (Domestic) - 400 block Donna Street, 3:15 PM.* Officers responded to a violent domestic with shots fired and arrived to find a 24 year-old female victim, uninjured. The victim indicated that her ex-boyfriend, *Eric Elmore Frazier, 30, of Turtle Creek,* was inside his parents residence and was armed. The victim indicated that she went to the residence to pick up her daughter and Frazier was present and threatened her with a gun. The victim retreated from the front porch at which point Frazier fired a round from the gun. Nobody was struck. Officers quickly surrounded the house and Frazier surrendered. He was taken into custody and the .40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun was recovered. (84473) *5/9/17 Burglary - 1000 block Beecher Street.* (84526) *5/11/17 Stolen Vehicle - 6935 Frankstown Avenue (YWCA). *Victim reports his Hertz rental car, a 2016 gray Hyundai Sonata (IL plate E904673) was stolen out of the YWCA parking lot on Frankstown Ave. Video surveillance shows a young white male driving a black tow truck, taking the car at 2:42 AM. Officers checked and vehicle was not towed by Hertz or the YWCA. (85762) *5/11/17 Aggravated Assault (Shooting) - 7000 block Forest Way.* Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 7000 block of Forest Way. On scene, officers found a male juvenile shot in the back of the head, hand, and calf area. The juvenile was taken to the hospital in critical condition. VCU, GVI, and the Mobile Crime Unit responded and are investigating the shooting. The victim is expected to survive. (86133) *5/11/17 Burglary - 8400 block Dersam Street. *(86008) *5/12/17 Arson - 1400 block Murtland Street. *Officers responded for a parked Chevy truck on fire. Engine 15 put out the fire and Arson Detectives responded to the scene. (86313) *5/12/17 Burglary - 2200 block East Hills Drive.* (86860) *5/13/17 Stolen Vehicle - N. Braddock Avenue & Hamilton Avenue.* Victim reports she parked her 2008 silver Pontiac Grand Prix (PA plate KCN-1382) on the street and when she returned it was gone. A witness told her a black male wearing a hoodie got in the car and drove away. (87869) *5/13/17 Burglary - 7600 block Bennett Street.* (88056) *Larimer / Lincoln-Lemington* *5/10/17 Shots Fired / Vehicle Pursuit - 7200 block Everton Street, 4:56 PM. *Officers responded to two ShotSpotter alerts, indicating shots were being fired from two different caliber weapons. While approaching the scene, plainclothes detectives crossed paths with a silver Mazda 3 and saw that the driver matched the description of the shooter. The Mazda fled at a high rate of speed and officers briefly pursued. The Mazda was able to get away but was later found wrecked in a wooded area, unoccupied. Both a handgun and a shotgun were found by the car. Officers have positively identified the shooter as *Terrell Lineburg, 28, or New Kensington.* Officers at the scene of the shooting learned that Lineburg exited the vehicle and began firing rounds out in the open while over 20 adults and children were having a cookout in the street. Luckily nobody was injured but a bullet did go through an apartment window and lodge into the wall of one of the units. You may remain anonymous.* (85260) *Bloomfield / Garfield / Friendship* *5/8/17 Theft from Vehicle - 300 block S. Graham Street. *(83832) *5/9/17 Aggravated Assault (Shooting / Domestic) - 4900 block Rosetta Street, 1:48 AM.* Officers responded to a report of a female shot at the above address. Officers arrived to find a 39 year-old female victim in serious condition, with a gunshot wound to her back. The victim was transported to UPMC Presbyterian where she is expected to recover. Subsequent investigation into the shooting revealed that the victim and her husband, *Stanfield Allen, 56, of Garfield,* were involved in an altercation. Both the victim and her husband were struggling over a gun they kept in the home when the victim was shot in the back. Allen was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Reckless Endangerment. The firearm was later found to be stolen. (84095) *5/14/17 Aggravated Assault - 5300 block Warble Street. *Officers responded to a violent domestic in the 5300 block of Warble Street. A female victim reported that she was having a verbal argument with her husband, *Lawrence Connor, 68, of Garfield,* when he placed both hands around her neck and began choking her . Victim reports she lost consciousness and fell to the floor. Connor was arrested at the scene. (87902) *East Liberty / Highland Park* *5/7/17 Stolen Vehicle - Station Street & N. Beatty Street, 5:30 AM.* Victim reported that she exited her vehicle to speak with her husband and left the vehicle running. Moments later, a thin black male, 5'7", 150 Lbs, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jumped into her car and took off. The vehicle is a 2011 red Ford Escape (PA plate JZX-1060). (82950) *5/11/17 Aggravated Assault-255 S. Negley Avenue (Friendship Academy). *Victim reports he was assaulted by a male juvenile inside the school. The juvenile hit him with a chair and threatened to kill the teacher. Officers will be obtaining an arrest warrant for the juvenile. (85820) *5/13/17 Theft From Auto-100 block North Highland Drive.* Victim's gun and wallet were taken from his unlocked Jeep. (87252) *5/14/17 Aggravated Assault (Domestic) - 700 block Sheridan Street, 10:50 PM.* A 55 year-old female victim reported that she was cleaning her apartment when she woke her boyfriend. The boyfriend,* Arnold Carver, 69, of Penn Hills,* became enraged and starting beating the victim. Carver then placed both hands around the victim's neck and began strangling her. Carver was arrested outside the home without incident. (88157) *Morningside / Stanton Heights / Waterworks Mall* *5/10/17 Theft From Vehicle - Stanton Avenue & Chislett Strett.* A gun was stolen from a vehicle. (85154) *This Week's Notable Arrests* *5/9/17 12:00 PM 5500 block Baywood Street Arrestee: William J. Parker, 29, of East Liberty Summary: *Allegheny County Probation agents went to a residence on Baywood Street to conduct a compliance check on William Parker. Parker initially tried to flee when he saw the officers approach but had nowhere to go and eventually opened the door. Inside the apartment, officers found an SKS assault rifle, a Century Arms assault rifle, a Remington 870 Express shotgun, a Kel-Tec P11 pistol, and a Titan Targa pistol. The Kel-Tec pistol was later determined to be stolen out of Sewickley, PA. Also recovered in the residence were bullets, digital scales, and $1200.00 cash. Parker was arrested and charged with felony firearm violations in addition to his parole violations. (84378) *5/9/17* *2:10 PM 2200 block East Hills Drive Arrestee: Tarue Johnson, 21, Address Unknown* *Summary: *The U.S. Marshall's Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force had been attempting to locate Johnson when they received a tip that he was hanging out on East Hills Drive. Members of the task force responded to East Hills Drive and set a perimeter around the apartment building in question. Johnson was located inside one of the units and did surrender peacefully. Officers recovered a Beretta 9mm pistol, heroin, crack cocaine, a digital scale, and ammunition from the apartment. (84448) *5/12/17 5:27 PM 7200 block Everton Street* *Arrestee: Mateen Samir Ibn Shahid, 23, of Wilkinsburg Arrestee: Dorian Robinson, 21, of East Hills* *Summary: *Zone 5 detectives were patrolling along Everton Street, looking for several individuals wanted for a shooting in the area several days prior. A white Pontiac was observed parked, with two males sitting in the car. The detectives went to speak with the men when they immediately smelled the odor of marijuana and observed the passenger, Dorian Robinson, pass a marijuana cigar to the driver, Mateen Shahid. The driver was asked to step out of the car and the passenger began twisting in his seat as if he were hiding something. The officers asked Robinson what else he had and he stated "a gun." Robinson was taken out of the car and a loaded black and Silver Taurus pistol was found under his thigh where he was sitting. Robinson also had a small bag of marijuana in his pocket. The firearm was checked and came back as stolen. Officers also ran the driver and passenger information and learned the name the driver had originally given them was false and there was an arrest warrant out for him. Mateen Samir Ibn Shahid was charged with Possessing a Small Amount of Marijuana and False ID to Law Enforcement. Dorian Robinson was arrested and charged with Firearms Not to be Carried without a License, Possessing a Small Amount of Marijuana, and Receiving Stolen Property. (86762) *5/14/17 8:00 AM 1200 block Nolan Court* *Arrestee: Lundon Minniefield, 29, of Homewood* *Summary:* Officers received a call for a young child standing outside a home on Nolan Court, screaming for his mother. Officers arrived on scene and found children, ages 2 and 3 years old, home alone. The children's mother, Lundon Minniefield, arrived home and told officers she ran across the street to buy a cigarette. It was determined that the children had been left unattended for a period of 15 minutes. The home was found to be in deplorable condition and there were no items of nourishment to feed the children. The children were placed with CYF and Minniefield was charged with Endangering The Welfare of Children. (87740) *5/13/17 12:35 AM 1300 block Grotto Street* *Arrestee: Kevon Worthy, 26, of Lincoln-Lemington* *Summary: *Officers responded to the 1300 block of Grotto Street for a ShotSpotter activation. Officers initially found the area quiet but were informed by a neighbor that shots were heard and a black male dressed in all black was seen walking up Grotto towards Lemington. Officers located the described male, Kevon Worthy, and ordered him to stop multiple times at which time he began running from officers. Officers eventually caught up to Worthy and detained him. Officers ran Worthy's name through the system and learned he was a wanted person. During a search of Worthy's person, 30 stamp bags of heroin, a small bag of marijuana, and a bullet were recovered. Officers continued searching the area and located a black handgun and several spent casings. Worthy was charged with various firearms and narcotics violations, as well as Possessing Instruments of Crime, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and Flight to Avoid Apprehension. Each year, members of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police proudly join nearly 20,000 police officers from around the world in Washington, D.C. for events honoring the fallen officers.
